School Closure Friday 9th January, 2026
Due to adverse weather conditions and dangerous driving conditions, school will be closed today.
Storm Goretti
We are closely monitoring the weather forecast this evening and overnight, as there is currently a forecast for significant snowfall associated with Storm Goretti.
We will be in communication with local schools and the Chair of Governors early tomorrow morning in order to make a decision regarding the school’s opening. At this point in time, we are planning to open as normal; however, this will depend on conditions overnight. As a result, we may be fully open, fully closed, or have a delayed opening.
The safety of our pupils, families and staff is our paramount concern, particularly as a number of pupils and staff travel significant distances to school. Please take extra care if you need to undertake any travel during this period.
A final decision will be made early tomorrow morning, and we will communicate our plans by 7.15am at the latest via text message and email. Please do not contact the school before this time, as staff are unlikely to be available to answer calls.
If the decision is made to close the school, teachers will forward some activities to support children at home.
At the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month - we will remember them.
Today the whole school held a two minute silence to reflect on the service and sacrifices the Armed Forces make on our behalf.
Book fair 2025
The book fair will be open Monday 6th - Friday 10th October from 3:15pm in the hall.
Macmillan Coffee Morning
Thank you to everyone who donated / bought cakes, attended the coffee morning and supported us. We managed to raise a whopping £160 for an amazing cause. Well done everyone.
