Internet Safety

The next Safer Internet Day will be held on 8th February, 2022.

"Together for a better internet"

All children were learning about the importance of being safe while online in their classes on Safer Internet Day and throughout the rest of the school year. At Warren Hills we know the importance of ensuring that all children know how to use digital technology safely.

This year Safer Internet Day took place during the National Lockdown Home learning period. As a school we held a competition.  We created a competition that both children learning from home and children learning in school could take part in.

KS1

Children create a short storyboard of drawings to share how to stay safe when playing games online. Yr2 can add in captions if they wish.

KS2

Children have more freedom to choose a media (comic strip, drama (this can be videoed), PowerPoint, poster, freeze frame images, dance) to explain to other children how important it is to stay safe while you are online.

OR

Children can work with their siblings if they are at home to create a media that shares the message of being safe while online.

We had a number of entries from children of all ages which was fantastic! We presented the two winning prizes during a virtual whole school Teams assembly on Friday 12th February.
