Warren Hills Primary School seeks to ensure that all of its pupils recieve a full time-education, allowing them the opportunities to achieve their true potential. We want all children to feel valued and safe at school and we will strive to provide a nurturing environment in which all children can aspire to be their very best.
All school staff will work alongside parents and pupils to ensure that every child attends school regularly and on time; challenging parents who give low priority to attendance and punctuality.
Punctuality
The school gate is opened at 8.40am daily by a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Children walk onto the playground and join their class lines for 8.45am when the bell is rung.
Classes are led into school and the registers are taken at 8.50am. Any child arriving in school after 8.45am will need to be taken to the school office to register. If a child arrives after the registers close at 9am they will be deemed late and this will be recorded.
Don't forget that we operate a paid Breakfast Club daily from 7.45am - the children will be escorted to their class groups in the playground meaning that they are never late!
Absence
It is very important that your child is in school daily, we ask that you support us by adherering to the following;
If your child is absent from school without any reason, we will contact you via text message, email and/or phone to understand the situation. If we are unable to contact you through either of these methods, we may call on you in person to ensure that we can give you our full support in getting your child to school.
Miss Toon is our Attendance Officer in school and can be contacted on 01530 834030 to discuss any of the above.
Mrs Burns is our Senior Designated Leader overseeing attendance.
