Computing Statement of Intent

At Warren Hills Community Primary School, we believe that our effective delivery of Computing provides children with opportunities to safely explore their learning in ways that link in with their key interests.

We believe that the use of technology is a vital tool to facilitate the learning taking place in every classroom.

We believe that the effective, enthusiastic teaching of computing, coupled with staff who are well-trained and IT literate, provides purposeful learning environments for children to unlock their true potential.

Computing skills are essential in enabling children to grow in confidence, creativity and become critical thinkers, who can reason systematically.

Allowing children to independently find, explore, analyse, exchange and present information effectively ensures for a broad and balanced computing curriculum. Through effective teaching of Computing we are ensuring that our children are well equipped to aim high when entering into the technology advancing world that is the 21st century.
